A27 Auglish Road, Northern Ireland
In collaboration with their partner company in Ireland, Highway Barrier Solutions, Extrudakerb constructed the first extruded asphalt kerb in Northern Ireland for highway operator Road Service on the A27 Auglish Road.
Road Service were keen to understand the advantages of the machine laid insitu kerb and provided the location for this first installation.
625 linear metres of kerb profile type 86 was extruded over 2 days to allow visitors to better opportunity to experience the process.
A special asphalt kerb mix was supplied by local producers Gibson Brothers to Extrudakerb's design.
The successful installation has resulted in the system being included in the Flagging, Kerbing and Paving Design Guidance document. Down load document.
